Kirkcaldy held Scotland's first ever Light Night event in October 2009 and with a series of performances throughout the town centre and a lot of community involvement, Kirkcaldy bringing thousands of extra people into Kirkcaldy Town centre during the day and evening.

The centrepiece of this collaborative effort between Kirkcaldy Town Centre Management, Arts & Theatres Trust Fife and Fife Council was the spectacular "Big Man Walking", an 8 metre high giant puppet who will take a walk around the Town Centre. Also including arts and cultural performances and lots of family fun this event gave you the opportunity to see Kirkcaldy in a different light!
