Light Night Perth

Perth 800 is a year long celebration in 2010 which marks the 800th anniversary of the granting of the Royal Burgh Charter to Perth by King William the Lion in 1210. Lightnight Perth is a free cultural festival which forms a major part of the Perth 800celebrations.

Using Perth City as a venue, Perthshire Past, Present and Future will be portrayed through a light trail, taking you from Kirk to Castle. Not only will we be illuminating the skies around Perth we'll be bringing you dance, music, installations, exhibitions, storytelling, dramatised walks, talks and treasure dance-a-thons and much much more!!!

Home and Away: Lightnight at Perth Concert Hall

As part of their 5th anniversary celebrations Horsecross present their Home and Away: Lightnight programme from 26 - 28 November

Only Boys Allowed Take 2

 

1000 primary 4 boys re-enact the Battle of the Clans in a dazzling performance of song and dance.

Light Installations 10am to midnight

Come and see our interactive outdoor light display. Watch how the lights react to your movements as you walk, run and jump. Indoors Perth Concert Hall foyer will be lit up with sparkling light installations and a sparkling Moon, created by leading Chinese artist Wang Yu Yang.

Choir Big Sing 7.30pm

Choirs from Perthshire will take part in a Choir Big Sing singing alongside some of the big names in Scottish music, such as the Grace, Hewat, Polwart trio.

All events will take place at Perth Concert Hall. Where events are free, space is limited so please book in advance
