Marketplace: CNN Artists Collective

The world's first Solar Powered Dance floor.  CNN are an artists collective primarily based in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, with a diverse spread of artistic practices.  In collaboration they specialise in public artworks in unusual locations that use the audience as a primary component within the work. CNN use renewable energy to power all their events.

The solar powered dance floor is available for hire.  Installation is of a 5.5m square solar powered LED ‘Saturday Night Fever' style dance floor by experienced crew.

CNN have Public Liability insurance.  The dancefloor is safe for public use and conforms to health and safety requirements. The dance floor is a 10cm  step up from ground level.  Solar panel can be on display if appropriate - Batteries will be charged up during the day.  A 12volt PA can be hired for an additional fee. DJ's also available.

Costs:

Hire and installation of dance floor by experienced crew.

Example costs based on travel Scotland to Leeds:

1 night  £1600  based on  operating floor from 7pm - 12 midnight (operating times negotiable)

2 nights £1980

3 nights £2350

Costs include dancefloor hire, crew travel time, installation, operation of floor for agreed duration of installation, crew accommodation and take down time.

Plus transport costs of 40p / mile from Dumfries, South West Scotland
